Postgraduate position in cell biology and immunology

The Su Lab in the Department of Cell Biology at Yale School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postgraduate associate to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in immunology and cell biology. Under the guidance of Professor Su, you will have the opportunity to explore the mechanisms underlying T cell activation and receive comprehensive training in advanced scientific methodologies and technologies.

Scientific Environment:

The Su Lab focuses on the study of membrane remodeling and signal transduction during immune responses. Through a combination of biochemical reconstitution, high-resolution microscopy, cell engineering, and mouse models, our lab aims to address fundamental questions at the intersection of cell biology and immunology. Additionally, our work involves the development of novel cell therapies targeting both liquid and solid tumors. For more information, please visit our website at www.sulab.net

Expectations:

This is a full-time position with an initial term of one year, offering the possibility of extension for another year or two. As a postgraduate associate, you will spearhead a research project focused on T cell activation. This includes designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and preparing research materials for publication.

Education:

This position offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap in knowledge and skills, serving as a stepping stone towards pursuing advanced degrees such as an MD or PhD, or preparing for a career in the biotech industry.

Training:

Our lab provides exceptional training opportunities in the fields of immunology and cell biology, allowing you to expand your scientific knowledge and master techniques such as flow cytometry, microscopy, and image analysis. You will also have the chance to enhance your presentation skills through local and national scientific occasions.

Mentoring:

Under the direct mentorship of Professor Su, you will receive invaluable guidance and support throughout your tenure. You will also learn from other members in the Su Lab through close interactions and collaborations.
